Chinese Calligraphy

AHSC offers a beginner’s and an advanced class. Both are taught by Mr. Yan Bu Liang. Tuition for the beginner’s class is $40; the advanced class is $50.

Beginner’s
Mr. Yan introduces the meaning of Chinese calligraphy and teaches the basic brush method of “Kai.” He critiques students individually so they benefit from his expertise and understand how they can improve.

Advanced
Mr. Yan challenges students with previous experience in Chinese calligraphy to focus on one brush style and become skilled at it. His guidance and critiques help students improve their artistic form.
