English As a Second Language

AHSC helps immigrants learn English with three classes, all of which are conducted in Korean. Tuition is $40, which includes learning materials.

English grammar
Students learn basic grammar, with emphasis on daily activities such as filling out forms, returning merchandise or making appointments.

Intermediate-advance English
From a native speaker, students learn additional grammar, vocabulary, reading, writing and conversation skills.

Beaverton: 10 a.m. to noon Thursdays through March 13, 2008

Living in America
Students learn practical English in a structured and supportive environment. Pronunciation and conversation are emphasized.
