Admin Office Staff

The AHSC Administrative Office is comprised of those with exemplary organization skills to streamline paperwork and processes. Administrative Office is fortunate to have Accountant and HR Manager, Sarah Cheng; Office Manager, Daniel Chiu; IT Manager, Eric Hsu; Administrative Assistant, Betty Chan; Accounting Assistant, Jean Huang; and HR Assistant, Nancy Ho.

Yu Miao Preschool Staff

We operate the Yu Miao Chinese Immersion Preschool, the first of its kind to be certified by the State of Oregon. "Yu Miao" means "nurturing young sprouts" in Mandarin Chinese. Click here to learn about the qualified Yu Miao faculty and staff

Community and Public Health Staff

Our Community & Public Health department helps the Asian community maintain healthy lives with outreach, education that is linguistically and culturally appropriate, by encouraging the participation of social activities and connection to cultural heritage. The Community & Public Health department is led by Elke Li. Her team is comprised of Community & Public Health coordinators, Maria Park and Chenya Chiu, and Community Health Workers Cang Le, Jane Kim, Mary Lee, Jeannie Kim, Pandora Li, and Seline La.

Mental Health Program Staff

AHSC provides a safe and culturally sensitive place for Asians who seek mental health care. Our program is a culturally competent and linguistically appropriate service that is offered in Cantonese, English, Korean, Mandarin or Taiwanese. All staff members of the mental health program are multilingual and multicultural professionals who have extensive experience in the field. The AHSC Medical Director, Dr. Paul Leung, L.M.P. Our Mental Health Program Staff is led by Gemma Kim, R.N., M.S.W., L.C.S.W. Her team includes Program Coordinator, Cecilia Wong, L.P.C., and QMHPs: Yu-Ling C., Edith Lee, Eric Hsu, Jin Song and Daniel Kwok, L.P.C.

We are state certified to serve the metropolitan Portland tri-counties, and we comply with state and county regulations in providing clinical and mental health services. Our program has achieved significant success in its 24 years and was recognized by a Multnomah County commissioner as "an ideal example of a culturally appropriate site for delivery of mental health care."
